Frances Ferdinands has exhibited her paintings for 4 decades nationally and internationally in such art centres as Paris, New York, Chicago, Honolulu, and London as well as across the USA and Canada.
Her work is rooted in her Sri Lankan heritage and exhibits a love for colour and pattern. Through her immigrant experience, themes of migration, nature, and transformation infuse the work. As a result her paintings are a colourful collage of abstract patterns and representational forms expressing these ideas.
